Transition from Primary to Secondary School

This workshop is suitable for children currently in year 6 who will be moving up to secondary school in September 2019.

The workshop is designed to help children refresh their Maths and English skills at the end of the long summer holiday before starting their new high school the following week. We focus on securing year 6 work but also look at the year 7 curriculum to give them a head start. Many schools complete their own assessment in year 7 to help them stream the children appropriately; this workshop will get your child back into work mode and familiarise them with maths and English again.

Sporting Activities Options

This workshop offers the possibility of a full day option which involves students participating in sporting activities in the afternoon. The sports activities are led by qualified and DBS checked sports leaders who deliver a variety of sporting activities. The combination of learning during the morning followed by a few hours physical activity is appealing to many children and parents alike.

What to bring: All resources are provided; your child needs only bring a drink and a snack each morning. If your child is staying for the sports afternoon, they will need to wear suitable sporty clothes and bring a packed lunch.

Workshops take place during school holidays and weekends.
